My Saturday

Just another tedious day of things that had to be done.

Started off with the 2 boiled eggs routine and then set about the housework. Hoovering and polishing upstairs and then downstairs. Whilst the hoover was out I decided to vacuum the car - it did need it.
Went online to check out the availabiity locally of a gift I wish to give my friend tomorrow before he leaves the country to work abroad. Not available at my local Argos so this would mean a 20 miles round trip to Cardiff Bay :(
Decided to get to the gym and get a session in whilst it was quiet. Had a good hour in there but saw nobody I knew.
Home and made a sandwich for lunch and listened to the "News Quiz" on Radio 4 - very funny.
Had a shower and then piled all the washing into the machine and then washed the kitchen floor. Whilst it was drying I rang my mum for a chat and then my daughter.
BY the time the floor was dry the washing was done and I pegged it out in the brilliant sunshine before heading off to Argos. Got the gift and then popped next door to Boots for a new lipstick and returned home an hour after leaving.
Looked at the lawns and I just knew I would have to give in and mow them while it was dry - soon it will be too dark after work for outside jobs so weekends are the only time.
Had coffee with the gay neighbour and today returned home with beetroot (good for wrinkles) and a pomegranate (just good for you)!
Perused the Radio Times for the TV schedule tonight - what a lot of old crap :**:
Maybe it will be a good time to watch one of my dozen Spanish films recently acquired from Ebay :DD
Then I logged on here - over 70 posts to get through since last night - some of you are prolific posters!
So that is my day so far - no wonder I feel knackered ;)

blimey..you always seem to do so much!!

So far I have managed to lie in till 10, write a letter, whip off a couple of comments on a few blogs, and test drive a new car (twice, cos the first drive was too short)

I have had a busy week, but then so have you!! (hope your bad days didnt pan out to be as bad as you thought this week?)

So, we sent off to the Audi garage to look at a TT, but the staff were far too busy chatting to pay me any heed. Perhaps I didnt give off money signals?? So, although quite prepared to spend money, we left after half an hour.

Popped into the VW garage and drove a lovely black 1 year old Golf GTi. Very nice it was too. Not sure I want to be a boy racer, but in black its very subtle and its totally classless, so no worries about appearing flash or downmarket to my clients. We shall see... :)

There is little sense of service left in this country eh? So the Audi garage just lose a sale - serve them right if their staff are so ignorant ;)

Golf GTi eh? Not a bad motor I admit, but black is a bugger to keep clean!
I would love a Merc (sports/SLK/CLK) but the mileage I do would not make it feasible :(

I know..its so bizzare, you'd think they would have been all over me like a rash the moment I was sizing up the back of the TT for child seats..but no. So f&%k 'em. It would have been impractical anyway if I was honest.

Black isnt the best (I'd prefer red, cos nobody has a red car any more) but its certainly understated, which I like. The only downside it its 3 doors and not 5, but for the odd weekend we would use it as family transport, I'm more focussed on the auto gearbox thingy that it has :))

Mercs are lovely, but so expensive to service. Best thing about the golf - 20k service intervals :)) So thats only 1 service a year rather than almost 2.

One day Welshy, we can have the car we want rather than the car we need.
